Completion of the entry-level grants the participant a buildingSMART recognition - the entry-level badge. The Entry level introduces open standards and openBIM concepts in a simple, clear and straightforward matter.
This program offers free online educational resources (self-paced training) and a free 10-question online exam that is managed on the Qualification Platform.
Goals
- Amplify buildingSMART's Mission: Broadcast buildingSMARTs mission and foster an understanding and appreciation of BIM and openBIM to the broadest possible audience.
- Pathway to Professional Certification: Lay a foundation for an individual’s further development in Professional Certification.
Target Audience
The primary focus is on the construction professional with little or no BIM experience. The course is also suitable for professionals outside of the built asset industry; as well as students at secondary or tertiary levels.
