buildingSMART International (bSI) is the worldwide industry body driving the digital transformation of the global built environment and the bSI Professional Certification Program has been developed to provide an international qualification for openBIM.
buildingSMART Professional Certification Program
A professional qualification designed to recognise excellence in the delivery of openBIM.
There are two levels to the program: Foundation and Practitioner. The Foundation level is a primer for full certification at the Practitioner level. The Foundation qualification focusses on knowledge-based learning, delivered through standardised trainings, followed by an online examination.
For the more experienced individuals, the Practitioner level provides a comprehensive certification and focuses on practical expertise with real-life project implementation.
buildingSMART International has already helped over 10 thousand individuals on their path to be recognised as digital construction professionals.
The Program is delivered locally by region, each buildingSMART International Chapter is responsible for the management of the Program in their respective region. The buildingSMART International Program is offering in 15 countries with over 100 training providers.
